Personal Health & Fitness Trainer
Joining the Alive Personal Training team in 2014, Sue is a qualified radiation therapist, having treated cancer patients in major Australian hospitals. As a truly compassionate lady, Sue is keen to help people achieve their health and fitness goals, sharing her experiences and motivating her clients. Her main interest is helping people train despite their injuries or health issues.
‘With a lifelong interest in health and sport, I’ve competed in diving, tennis and netball as a young lady, and now love aerobics, running and hiking – the volcanoes of Nicaragua in Central America and the Pyrenees in Spain & France are amazing!’.
Sue’s qualifications include:
- Certificates III and IV in Fitness
- Master Trainer Level 1 with the Australian Institute of Fitness
- Current qualifications in CPR and Level 2 First Aid

You’ll find Sue working with older adults and adults with injuries or health problems, instructing older adult classes at the gym, as well as Deepdene U3A (University of the third age).
Sue’s most memorable experience:
I have also been fortunate enough to participate in two Deakin studies regarding older adults and diet in regard to muscle recovery. I have been asked to participate in an ExMed study about the correlation of exercise and recovery of men with prostate cancer.
